When did you first become interested in working in finance?
I had my first taste of finance during my years in high school studying economics and accounting. In tandem with my competitive nature, I had a goal to one day work in finance, especially with trading, investing, and sales support. I went to school for business, focusing on finance and technology, which eventually lead me to my goal.

In 3 sentences, tell me about your role at the firm.
I am currently responsible for the development of new business, while maintaining and supporting the current client base. It is a very exciting role with the opportunity to interact with clients while working with all the internal teams to make things happen. I have been with the firm since 2006, initially heading Execution Services, before transitioning to Project Management in 2013, and was subsequently promoted to my current position in late 2014.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
Outside of the office, I am very active. I enjoy hiking, biking, swimming, jogging, and other outdoor type of activities. I exercise several times a week.

What famous person would you like to meet and why?
Sir Richard Branson, the founder of the famous Virgin Group. He is a very motivating and inspiring person. Whenever I see or read about him, he gives me an energy kick and I like his approach to business and life. The professionalism, focus, and charisma he has is something that I really admire. I would like to visit him on his private Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands.

If you could visit any place in the world, where would it be and why?
I am not a mountain climber but I really like hiking and adventurous challenges. I would like to stand on top of Europe and look down at all of the major summits of the Alps by climbing Mont Blanc in the summer, an elevation of almost 16,000ft. It would be an unbelievable physical and mental test but the feeling to accomplish something like that would be amazing.

What is one thing that most people would be surprised to learn about you?
I used to play competitive tennis in my home country, Sweden, prior to moving to the US for college. It was the game of tennis that initially brought me to the US. Tennis formed me as a person and it also helped me create invaluable personal and business relationships that I would never have been able to accomplish without the sport.
